In the MV Cathy Jo new building project, we took over the new building supervision just as the keel was laid.
The owner needed a seamless transfer from the previous manager & building supervisor with no loss of time or added cost as a consequence of the change of management. This was achieved by taking a strong and proactive lead of the project from day 1.
The shipyard Ferus Smit in Leer, Germany is a reputable and efficient yard. With a high turnover speed, it required us to react quickly and efficiently to any change order or yard request.
The ship is a highly advanced dry cargo vessel with a crew of 7. It is highly automated with the latest of technologies such as electronic chart displays and information systems, ECDIS.
The ship was delivered on time and in budget to the highest quality available worldwide.
A minor guarantee list was cleared during the first year of operation, organised without any off hire or cost to the owner.
We took full technical and crewing management of the ship after delivery.
